 about the author

Agay Llanera is a freelance writer for television and the web. She enjoys writing romance, and stories for children and young adults.

 about the ARTIST

Lui Manaig shares a bit of himself in his paintings. He likes to create art that speaks about topics that are close to his heart, like gender identity, the freedom to choose whom to love, and the reasons people act the way they do. His works are unique in the way they show movement, placement, colors, and patterns. Lui believes paintings, even traditional ones, are able to express opinions about different realities and conflicts. In 2012 and 2015, he became a semi-finalist for Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE).
